Scottish Annihilator Nico Carrillo didn’t shy away from discussing Bampara Kouyaté’s alleged heartlessness against Shadow Singha Mawynn.
“King of the North” believes the French-Malian striker simply gave up and buckled under pressure during his stoppage loss to the Thai striker at ONE Fight Night 35.
The Glasgow native doubted “Bambi” had what it takes to succeed in Muay Thai’s featherweight division.
Carrillo shared in a recent meeting with the South China Morning Post (SCMP):

“I don’t want to disparage anyone, but it looked like he gave up, you know what I mean? At that level of fighting on that stage, I don’t believe you can hold your face and see if you don’t get knocked out, you don’t get three TKOs, you’re out of the game, you get shot in the body and take out your lungs. It doesn’t matter, you stopped like that, right?”
He continued:
“But to give up and not get back up? In my opinion, that’s not acceptable, and he gave up. So that’s how I feel about this fight.”
Meanwhile, Carrillo faces American Luke ‘The Chef’ Lessei at ONE Fight Night 37 on November 7 in Bangkok.

Nico Carrillo believes he will soon fight Shadow in a potential world title eliminator
Nico Carrillo believes he is a few wins away from securing a world title opportunity against undisputed ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai.
However, the 27-year-old KO machine believes he will meet Shadow Singha Mawynn sooner rather than later on his path to gold.
The “King of the North” said in the same SCMP interview:
“Once Shadow and I fight, it will be like a title eliminator. And then hopefully at that point Tawanchai will be ready to defend his Muay Thai belt again. That’s how I could see him planning.”
