General Hospital Carly Corinthos Spencer (Laura Wright) is furious because Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) recruited her daughter into the WSB agency and lied to her face for months.
We’ll talk about Carly teaming up with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stewart) to make sure Brennan falls and frees Joslyn Jax (Eden McCoy) from the WSB.
General Hospital: Carly gives Brennan one last chance to confess
Okay, let’s get into it. So, we just saw Carly give Brennan the chance to come clean and tell her the truth about Jocelyn being at WSB. But once again, Brennan lied to her face. Carly then saw red and then made a shocking call to Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson).
As you know, Brennan came to see Carly after returning from his trip to Steinmaur Prison in Switzerland. He was telling her that he brought Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havens Bruening) and Charlotte Cassadine (Blucy Burke) to visit Valentin. And Carly played it cool and didn’t tell Brennan that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) told her Josslyn was a WSB agent. Instead, Carly gave Brennan the chance to tell her himself.
General Hospital: Carly Drops Hints
Carly hinted that Josslyn was in danger, opened the door wide and hinted that she had an idea. But Jack, of course, assumed it was impossible for Carly to know about Jocelyn. So he lied and basically said he was reacting as if the danger was supposed to come from her dating Vaughn (Bryce Durfee). So, Jack tells Carly that Jocelyn was never involved in Vaughn’s mission and that Jocelyn was never in danger. Two big, huge lies.
So, Carly let Jack think everything was fine. The moment he left, Carly got on the phone with Spinelli. So, Carly wants Spinelli to create a fake identity for her. Something really good can withstand great scrutiny.
Carly’s secret mission: a disguised visit to Steinmaur Prison
It looks like Carly is getting what she wants from Spinelli based on a quick scene from this week General Hospital Promo spoilers. Official permission JH Spoilers say Valentin is startled by a visitor. And to me, I think this is Carly wearing a long, dark wig in disguise as Steinmaur and looking for Valentin’s help to deal with Brennan and the threat he poses to her daughter. A very smart move if that’s where they’re headed. This is what it seems to me.
This made me wonder if she was in Steinmauer, what exactly was Carly up to? She’s very angry at Brennan for involving Jocelyn in WSB and lying to her the whole time. And if you remember how Brennan got Jocelyn into the WSB, he set her up and put her in danger with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and she killed the guy. So, Jack intentionally put her in harm’s way multiple times, even as part of recruitment.
Worse still, of course, when Carly was asking him specifically about Josslyn and the danger, Jack was lying in her face. You know, that opportunity for recognition was lost. The absolute look on Carly’s face after Jack turned his back and left. She’s angry. It’s about to go down hard. Carly wants Jack to pay and wants Jocelyn out of WSB and completely safe.
Dangerous Alliance: Carly and Valentin team up against Brennan
I think Carly will team up with Valentin to take down Brennan and try to get Josslyn out of WSB. The thing is, despite Carly’s concern, I don’t think Jocelyn wants out of the World Scout Bureau. I think she likes it, but I don’t think her desire to stay will stop Carly from trying to get her out. You know, Jocelyn is her daughter. She’ll do what she’ll do. We all know Carly does what she wants, and if she thinks Josslyn needs to get out of WSB, she’ll move on. She won’t listen to anyone but herself because that’s the way Carly does it.
So, I think she’ll use that new fake identity that Spinelli created for her. And I think Carly will be flying out to see Valentin this week and suggest they work together to take down Jack. I think if this happened, Valentin might seize the opportunity since he and Brennan are mortal enemies now. As you know, Valentine and Jack both tried to kill each other. I don’t think there is any way to salvage what was a decades-long friendship that has now turned into a dangerous rivalry and hatred.
General Hospital: Great plan for the future?
I think we could actually see Carly and Valentin coming up with a way to destroy Jack. First, Carly might tell Valentin that Brennan recruited Jocelyn, and Valentin might ask, “Why would Jack do this?” And Valentin might tell Carly how cruel her boyfriend is. He and Valentin are old friends. And Valentine knows where the skeletons are buried, you know, and Brennan turned on him, and he turned on Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). So, yes, Jocelyn is in danger. Who’s to say Brennan won’t turn on Jocelyn too?
Mastermind Brennan’s Downfall: Sabotage and Prison Break?
Carly is likely more convinced that Jack needs to come down after she talked to Valentin and might ask him to help her find a way to make it happen. If you remember, Brennan was going to kidnap Carly two years ago. If you remember, he had a whole bunch of serial kidnappings, like duct tape and zip ties, and I think some rope when Anna arrested him, I think she was the one who arrested him and dropped him off in Bentonville. But Carly ignored the red flags, dated her would-be kidnapper, and put him in her bed. But Jack’s targeting of Jocelyn is overdone.
So you might ask Carly Valentine how she can get Jocelyn out of WSB. And I bet the answer is that Jack should go get Jocelyn released. She can’t just quit smoking. So Carly and Valentin may be planning to discredit or sabotage Brennan so he gets fired. Then we might have Carly ask Valentin, you know, to help her.
“I would love to do it, but I can’t do it from here,” he says. So Carly might find a way to get Valentin out of Steinmauer or help him escape or who knows. Carly won’t care if Valentin is dangerous and on the loose as long as Jocelyn is safe. Carly is very much the end-justifies-the-means type of person.
Recruiting Allies: Jason and Anna join the fight
After seeing Valentine, we can see Carly going back to Jason to recruit him into the anti-Jack scheme. Of course, Jason will be upset if Carly goes to see Valentin because she makes rash decisions without thinking them through. That would be Jason’s point of view.
Carly’s point is that she will do what she has to do to protect her children. And if Jason doesn’t help, she’ll do it anyway. And then of course he would have to help Carly because otherwise Jason would have to get her out of the mess on the back side of her if he didn’t help her on the front side.
The last thing to consider is that the situation of Nathan West (Ryan Paevey), Brett Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) may just be an opportunity that Carly and Valentin can exploit to undermine Jack. He didn’t get all the information he needed from Valentin to deal with this crisis. But Valentin might actually share the information with Carly, who could share it with Jason, and they could use it to target Jack.
General Hospital: A New Alliance?
We may also see Valentin advising Carly to ally with Anna since they have the same goals. Valentin knows that Anna won’t like Brennan recruiting Jocelyn, and we’ve already seen that. So, I think Carly might go back to Port Charles, and get back together with Anna after her encounter with Valentin. I also think he might warn Carly and keep Brett away from Rocco Valserone (Finn Francis Carr). Additionally, Valentin may demand a promise from Carly to try to protect Charlotte no matter what happens. Of course she would do that.
Plus, Carly can’t stand Brett, so she’s probably only too happy to help Valentin keep Brett away from Charlotte and Rocco. So, I think things are about to get kind of wild for Carly and Brennan as we head into their November campaigns, which start next Thursday and Friday. I’m totally here for it. We’ll see what happens. If this is indeed the case, Carly is sneakily talking to Valentin in Steinmaur Prison.
