This week, Hayley is ready to try again, maybe meatloaf or something a little deadlier. She is determined to poison Bill again.
Even though he doesn’t know it, his marriage has an expiration date. And if it’s up to Haley, so is Bill. But it’s doubtful that the writers will kill him off. He probably gets a good scare. After all, big bad Bill being targeted by his young wife seems like karmic justice for how he treated Danny. He’s fallen in love with the newer model, and now she’s trying to run him over. Bill and Hayley’s marriage is clearly doomed — some things you can overlook, but attempted murder isn’t one of them.
Beyond the Gates: Danny’s loveless marriage with Andre Richardson
Right after we found out that Hayley was cheating on Bill, we learned some disturbing things about Danny’s new marriage. When Anita Dupree (Tamara Toney) and Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) demanded that Danny and Andre come to lunch, it was a really polite excuse for a double interrogation. Vernon and Anita were expecting Danny to file annulment papers and the Vegas marriage would disappear.
Danny and Andre decide to do so after waking up in Vegas with only vague memories of drag queen Anita performing her vows. The only reason Danny doesn’t file right away is because of Bill. She was glad he was jealous – hurling insults at Andrei and digging for dirt like an idiot. He’s even kissed Danny twice now.
It gets worse when Dani tells Anita about her true feelings for Andre – she doesn’t love him. She loves him, maybe she loves him as a friend, but it’s not romantic. Sure the chemistry was there, but she described him as a roommate she shared the sheets with. Between Danny and Andre, there is no great romance.
Beyond the Gates: A twisted love triangle and betrayals
It’s not just Danny who doesn’t feel loved. Andre is still hung up on nurse Ashley Morgan (Jane Jacobs), who is engaged to Derek Baldwin (Ben Gavin) – a man who pretends to still be paralyzed. You can see the writing on the wall. Andre half loves Ashley, Danny still loves Bill, and Hayley just loves Bill’s money. The math adds up to the chaos.
With the November raids starting on October 30, expect Haley’s next murder attempt around that time to reach maximum drama. When Hayley is exposed, Bill will run straight to Danny for comfort. Unfortunately, she probably wouldn’t refuse him.
Dani had put up with a lot from Bill over the years—the cheating and the lies—because she loved him. And when Bill admits that Hayley tried to kill him for the insurance money, Danny will probably laugh and say, “I told you so.” But she’ll also let him in — and potentially reconcile.
Beyond the Gates: Predictions for Bill and Danny’s reunion
It really feels like the writers are setting up a Bill and Danny reunion. They’ll probably enjoy the honeymoon phase before Bill inevitably falls back into old habits. He is a magician who does not learn. And Danny? And she didn’t learn either. When Bill shows up with the “Poor Me” story about his murderous wife, she’ll let him back into her life and into her bed.
Meanwhile, Andre will grow closer to Ashley, who may blow up at Derek for lying about his recovery. Derek fears that Ashley is proposing solely out of pity, and he may be right. By the time Andre realizes Danny is back with Bill, Ashley can get rid of Derek — and find comfort with Andre. So in the end, Danny and Andre may agree to end their marriage amicably and return to the people they truly love. This is the most likely outcome as Beyond the gates Heading into the season of occupations.
