Mercedes Mone recently gained attention for mentioning an absent AEW star and saying she wanted to tie him up.
Whether in the ring or out, Mercedes Mone will catch your eye. The CEO who has had a historic week-plus in professional wrestling is steadily pushing for the biggest title of all time in women’s wrestling. Mone recently won an unprecedented 12th title after breaking legendary wrestler Ultimo Dragon’s record of holding 10 titles simultaneously at WrestleDream 2025, where she defeated Mina Shirakawa for her interim ROH Women’s Television title. Additionally, Mone is currently the longest reigning TBS Champion in the history of the Jacksonville-based promotion. Today, however, Mone gained attention outside of the ring after posting online that she would be facing departed All Elite Wrestling star Deonna Purrazzo, who now appears more often in ROH.
On X, Mone asked her fans who they wanted to see her compete against in Ring of Honor. In response, a fan mentioned Deonna Purrazzo’s name, to which Mone responded that she would love to tie her.

Mercedes Mone recently threatened an X fan with legal action after he disrespected the CEO with harsh criticism. The fan claimed that Mone was the worst female wrestler and had no talent, implying that she was hogging all the belts. In response, Mone identified her boyfriend, Beast Mortos, and told him she would see the fan in court. For those who don’t know, Mortos is also a lawyer in addition to being an AEW star.

Currently, Mercedes Mone is waiting for a response from women’s world champion Kris Statlander, who she challenged for the title backstage at WrestleDream. Statlander is expected to respond on the next episode of Dynamite.
