US President Donald Trump said Tuesday that allied Middle Eastern countries were prepared to send troops to Gaza, at his request, to confront Hamas if the group did not stop its alleged violations of his peace plan.

The threat comes a day after Trump warned that Hamas would be “eradicated” if the group did not meet the expectations of the deal, which brought a fragile ceasefire to the two-year war with Israel.

“Many of our NOW MAJOR ALLIES in the Middle East and areas surrounding the Middle East have informed me that they would welcome the opportunity, at my request, to enter GAZA with heavy force and ‘straighten out our (sic) Hamas’ if Hamas continues to act badly,” Trump posted on his Truth Social platform.

“There is still hope that Hamas will do what is right. If it does not, the end of Hamas will be QUICK, FURRY and BRUTAL!” he warned.
