Bank of America was honored in 2025 as the World’s Best Investment Bank and the World’s Best Cash Management Bank at this year’s World Bank Awards.

Best investment bank in the world 2025
Bank of America Securities
Against the backdrop of buoyant global equity markets and rising debt financing activity, Bank of America’s (BofA) Securities global operations posted a stunning 43% year-over-year jump in investment banking fees as of Q4 2024.
These numbers were mainly supported by the bank’s three largest operating regions: North America, Latin America and Europe, where the bank controlled 8.3%, 9% and 4.4% of total investment banking fees respectively. This brought full-year revenue to nearly $5.5 billion, according to Dealogic, representing about 6.2% of the global investment banking market.
Bank of America also posted big results in mergers and acquisitions despite somewhat subdued activity in this area, serving as lead buy-side advisor on the $1.9 billion acquisition of Hawaiian Airlines by Alaska Air. The bank also served as sole buy-side financial advisor on Keurig Dr Pepper’s $990 million acquisition of energy drink company GHOST.
World’s Best Bank for Cash Management 2025
Bank of America
Reflecting the demand for consistent global visibility and control, Bank of America sees the app version of its CashPro platform exceed $1 trillion in payment approvals in 2024. CashPro enables customers to manage treasury operations across multiple channels: online, apps, APIs, and file-based interfaces.
“One of the things that sets CashPro apart is its global consistency, so that when a company’s finance team has team members in different countries, they will all have access to the same tools, views and processes,” says Tom Durkin, head of CashPro at Bank of America’s Global Payments Solutions business. “The benefits are clear: better visibility, better control, and no additional financial overhead.”
Durkin points out that much of CashPro’s success is due to Bank of America’s close engagement with customers, especially those who participate in customer board meetings.
“This dialogue is very important,” he says. “We dive into our customers’ priorities and challenges, present options for new functionality and discuss whether these innovations will solve their problems in the real world.”
He adds that the bank’s strategic vision for CashPro “will always be to provide a best-in-class platform that is personalized, predictive and proactive.” “One of the latest offerings is how we integrate CashPro into our customers’ own systems through the CashPro Network, a collaboration with third-party providers that allows for a quick and easy connection to the bank with little to no investment.”
