Days of our lives Burning events are expected to take place over two weeks from October 20-31, 2025 EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) is chewing and Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) makes a devil’s deal.
It is important to note that the last two days of these weeks, October 30 and 31, are the first two days of the November campaigns. So look for a big buildup over these two weeks as we get into some really wild stuff in the sweeps.
Spoilers for Days of Our Lives: Sofia Faces the Music
Well, Monday, October 20, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) works with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) to find Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd). They find her and take her to a bar where she will encounter Holly Jonas (Ashley Bozemis), Tate Black (Leo Howard), Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), and Chanel Dupri (Raven Bowens). And also Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon), Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart), the baby Tesoro, and also her mother, Amy.
Everyone questions Sofia at once, demanding the truth, and she collapses. Javi and Leo are very worried about Tesoro. So with the change of paternity, any papers Tate signed or any permission he gave for the adoption are all void. But the biological father should have a say or at least a small window to decide whether he wants to keep the child or not. And of course, that would likely be Aaron Green (Luis Tomeo).
Spoilers for Days of Our Lives: Sarah blasts E.J
Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) confronts EJ, and it may be about all the chaos going on at the hospital, the power outages, all that stuff. Gaby and Philip Kiriakis (Jean-Paul Lavoisier) enjoy their blossoming relationship. But if he learns that Gabe planted the bug on Tony DiMera (Thao Penglis) in the company’s offices, will Philip allow it? I mean, probably. Gabe is awesome. It’s hot. She’s in his bed. And let’s face it, Philip has done much worse.
EJ’s motives and DiMera’s corporate power have been called into question
Tuesday, October 21 We have EJ trying to get on Belle Black’s (Martha Madison) good side, but I’m just wondering why he feels the need to. Is it about trying to avoid some kind of prosecution or liability from the city because of this blackout? He goes to see her at Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), so it feels like a personal conversation of sorts. She won’t take him back, so I’m curious to know what he wants.
Sarah checks in with Marlena. Maybe talk to her about her health concerns, or maybe consult with Marlena about how she and Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) are doing after the first couple’s treatment. Sophia’s mental health issues may also be emerging after her recent breakdown.
Paulina Price (Jackie Harry) quarrels with Abby Carver (James Reynolds). She doesn’t understand why Theo, a grown man, shouldn’t be allowed to make his own decision about being CEO of a company Dimera Enterprises Tony also offered the job. We’ll have more scenes of Tony this week.
Spoilers for Days of Our Lives: Xander Grylls Phillip
Gaby comes to an agreement with Theo and may decide to keep her company under management DiMera The umbrella even though Tony had given it all to her. It was decided to retain independence, but it still operates under its umbrella. This way, she and Philip could still date each other and she would still have a good-sized corporate apparatus supporting her.
Xander has some questions for Philip, and I wonder if he’s grilling him about his interest in Gabi. So far, neither Philip nor Xander know that Gabe was the one who placed the bug in their office. Only Tony and Gabi know. I’m very interested to know if Tony cheated on her or not. If it was Tony, I don’t think he would. But if this is Andre DiMera (also Thao Penglis) masquerading as Tony, he might just be doing it to be a mess.
DiMera family conflicts and Stephanie’s secret identity
Wednesday 22 October. We have Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and AJ talk about the family difficulties and struggles the DiMera family has been going through over the past two years. They’ve been put through the ringer a lot. Some of it is their fault, some of it is not their fault.
Jeremy Horton (Trevor Donovan) and Thomas DiMera (Christopher Curry) call. Remember, this is his teacher, but Thomas was skipping school. Jeremy was bringing assignments home. I wonder if Thomas might open up to Jeremy about hating Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) and hating Chad being with her after she pretended to be his mother. Days of our lives.
Rita realizes that Leo might be snooping around in the hospital’s construction zone. Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) and Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) are making plans, and it could be for the big reveal of her role as author Anastasia Sands.

Sophia’s diagnosis and Rachel’s returning memories
Thursday 23 October. Sarah has some hard-to-hear information about Amy, and it has to do with Sofia. Maybe Sarah will confirm a recent paternity test. I wonder if Sarah will tell Amy what caused Sofia’s breakdown. The question is, is it rational? Is it physical? Would you recommend inpatient care? Bayview?
Brady sympathizes with Tate on Thursday. They may feel a sense of loss after discovering that Sofia’s baby was never part of their family, despite all the drama and trauma. Going from thinking about having a baby to not having one is a big deal. Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Susan Rogers) questions Xander on Thursday. She pushes him about Philip.
Rachel Black’s (Alice Halsey) memories have been triggered, and she seems to be getting a few memories back, much to Marlena’s concern. Additionally, Holly and Ariana Horton (Marisa Reyes) have to confront the music with campus authorities due to an accidental dorm fire.
A confrontation in the town square leads to a shocking confession
Friday, October 24 Alex and Stephanie try to deal with the past. Alex has a real-life confrontation with Jeremy at Horton Town Square. Stephanie and Alex had just assumed that Jeremy was the one who told Leo she wrote “One stormy night“, which is not true. Alex is getting aggressive with Jeremy, and Stephanie is telling her boyfriend that it’s not worth it, but things are about to get messy because I think Jeremy might be really aggravated by their assumptions.
Javi and Leo meet Amy and let her hold her grandson, Tesoro. Sarah confronts Xander and demands the truth about Philip. guess what? He breaks down and finally tells her that yes, he’s the one who beat Philip. Sarah kicks him out of the house and takes off her wedding ring. She says they are finished. Johnny and Chanel talk about their fears. We’ll see if they can still adopt.
Spoilers for November: Shocking returns and Halloween horror
For the week of October 27-31, and again, this includes the first two days of sweeps, Sophia will likely head to Bayview. She was trying to escape the city, but it was clear she needed help.
Chad may soon have an uncomfortable encounter with Dr. Mark Green (Jonah Robinson), who is set to return to Salem soon. Even though Kate and Chad have broken up, they will continue to face each other. Thomas may be leaving Salem soon. Carrie Christopher came out a few days ago for a new project.
More backlash from Rachel’s memories goes back to the night she shot EJ. Alex and Stephanie plan to break big news about her as Anastasia as her murder mystery unfolds for the first time. Someone will try to attack Kate and Chad on Halloween.
Alex warns them and pushes them out of the way as a knife-wielding lunatic runs into Horton Town Square. However, I suspect this is part of a Halloween episode that is usually a one-off and doesn’t contribute to the story plans.
And also, just to acknowledge the Emmy win, Days of our lives It won one big category, Best Actor for Paul Telfer as Xander Kiriakis. Congratulations to Paul.
