Mutations are conditions that change the stats and appearance of affected plants and Brainrots. Although they apply to both plants and Brainrots, they work slightly differently for the two unit types.

For PlantsMutations apply a multiplier which directly increases their DPS, thus making them more effective in combat. Secret Shroombino’s DPS, for example, is doubled with the Gold Mutation, increasing its attack power from 12,500 to 25,000.

Brain rot mutationson the other hand, apply a multiplier of their income rates. A Lemowzio can see its earning rate increase from 50,900 Cash per second to 101,800 Cash per second, thanks to Gold Mutation.

Most mutations are based on luckwhere you can only hope that a plant or Brainrot has one after obtaining it. Some Brainrot mutations are exceptions, as they are more weather-related.
