US President Donald Trump said he expected an extension of the Abraham Accords soon and hoped Saudi Arabia would rejoin the agreement that normalized diplomatic relations between Israel and some Arab states.

“I hope to see Saudi Arabia come in, and I hope to see others come in. I think when Saudi Arabia comes in, everyone will come in,” Trump said in an interview broadcast Friday on Fox Business Network.

Trump said he had “some very good conversations” as recently as Wednesday with states that have indicated a willingness to rejoin the accords.

“I think they’re all going to come in very soon,” Trump said in the interview recorded Thursday.

The United Arab Emirates and Bahrain signed the agreements in 2020 during Trump’s first term in the White House, breaking a long-standing taboo to become the first Arab states to recognize Israel in a quarter-century. Morocco and Sudan followed suit.

Trump, who summoned Muslim and European leaders to Egypt on Monday to discuss the future of the Gaza Strip, presented his plan to end the war in Gaza as the catalyst for a broader regional peace deal.

The interview aired on FBN’s “Mornings with Maria.”
