Days of our lives Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) delivers as the world’s best assistant to EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). But there may be more than just business going on between these two soon. We may see Cat and EJ color outside the lines and get involved on a personal level as well.
With Cat additionally working as an ISA agent for Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy), I wonder if Cat will try to lure EJ into a trap situation to get the information she needs, or maybe Cat will start taking a legitimate interest in EJ.
Days of our Lives: From heartbreak to espionage
First, let’s start with the cat. She was recently heartbroken when Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) decided to break up with her. He basically convinced Kat that they could be together, and that he really loved her. They then made love and Chad left her. Of course, that’s only because his son Thomas DiMera (Christopher Curry) was angry that his father was dating Kat, who pretended to be his dead mother, Abigail Deveraux (AnnaLynn McCord).
Everything was fine until lecherous little Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) told Thomas the truth. Although Chad abandoning her broke her heart, Kat realized that Chad had to do what was best for Thomas. Children come first. Although the kid went too far, demanding that Chad run Kat out of town and threatening to run away if Chad didn’t do so. It is still understandable what the child is going through.
The way he goes to extremes isn’t great, but that’s because he has someone else in his ear. So, we have a sad, abandoned and lonely cat. By the way, EJ is also abandoned and lonely, but he tries not to act sad. Plus, Kat just told EJ that Chad broke up with her. So, maybe EJ is now looking at Cat in a new light. Or EJ may have an ulterior motive involving his brother, Chad.
Days of Our Lives: DiMera’s motivations
We all saw Kat and Chad’s breakup coming. We knew there was no happily ever after for this couple considering how much Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes), Jacques Devereaux (Matthew Ashford), and Jennifer Horton (Cady MacLean) despised Kat. So, unless she finds some way to redeem herself in the eyes of the Hortons and Devereux, she will never succeed.
And so far, I don’t see circumstances changing for Chad and Kat because Thomas knows that Chad lied to him about his relationship with Kat. As far as Thomas is concerned, Kat needs to go and Rachel will keep Thomas on his toes about this because she is a bad influence on her cousin. So, for now, Chad will probably throw himself into becoming a father and running the Salem Spectator.
As for Kat, she heads to work for EJ while working undercover for ISA and coordinating efforts with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering). But let’s face it, she’s in close quarters every day now with EJ, and he’s handsome. He’s charming. It’s decent. There is an accent. The cat has to notice. We know that EJ has noticed how adorable Cat is. That’s why he offered her his auction date the moment EJ woke up from that coma after Rachel shot him.

Now Kat’s heart is broken now and I doubt she’s ready to date. But if EJ asks her out, Cat might say yes to try to get more information from EJ for ISA. They want to know who helped him buy the hospital and what he plans to do with this secret lab that Cat now knows he’s building. EJ and Cat already have chemistry. You can see it. And we all know how much EJ DiMera loves blonde beauty.
There’s Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker), there’s Belle Black (Martha Madison), and of course Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney). Maybe he’ll add Kat to his collection of blondes. Plus, EJ likes to piss off his brothers, knowing that Chad really loved Kat. So, EJ might find out that it was his evil, murderous little niece, Rachel, who gossiped and made Thomas demand that Chad break up with Kat. If so, EJ may have an affair with Cat to try to make Chad see that he can’t let his son Thomas control his love life.
I mean, both EJ and Chad watched Rachel destroy several of her father Brady Black’s (Eric Martsolf) relationships. Pretty much anyone who wasn’t her mother. So, I could also see EJ trying to make Chad jealous, either to give him a wake up call or EJ might do it just to mess with his brother for fun. You know how these DiMeras get along with each other.
Days of our Lives: behind-the-scenes spoilers
I’ve also mentioned several times that when Days of our lives They’ve done their big 60th anniversary shoot, for the upcoming anniversary episodes in November, in just a few weeks. When they took the photo, they paired the people either in pairs or in pairs in the story.
So what really caught my attention, I think I saw it on Dan Feuerriegel’s social media Instagram story. I think that’s where the picture was taken, but they had a cat taking pictures with Chad and AJ. Kat and Chad, Kat and EJ, and Kat, Chad, and EJ. This kind of hints at a love triangle or something more than what we’ve seen so far. Obviously, we know that Kat and Chad will continue to be in each other’s orbit and that EJ is about to be in the mix.
Days of our Lives: Romance or Spy?
Although Cat works on the side of law and order and EJ is criminally inclined and morally ambiguous. I think Kat would be fascinated by it. How could you not be? right. The big question is whether emotions are in the mix. EJ may want to date Cat just to mess with Chad or he may think that someone with a shady past like Cat would be more understanding of his shady past and possible future criminal endeavors.
Then there’s the question of whether Cat will manipulate EJ’s feelings or at least his libido to try to get the information Shane wants about the hospital and whatever dodgy things EJ is doing downstairs in that lab. So, even if Kat is trying to discover his deepest dark secrets, EJ may be too smart to fall for this. Or he might fake it so he can try to get Kat into bed while making her think she’s playing with him. And don’t forget, we also make friends with Gwen Rieszczyk (Emily O’Brien), the secret investor in the dodgy hospital deal. So, we’ll also have to wait and see if she encourages Cat and EJ to date. Or maybe Gwen finds out the truth about Kat being snooping and spying and warns EJ about her.
Bust Gwen the Cat on DOOL?
However, I doubt Gwen will realize what Kat is doing. She’s not the most observant of British children. I mean, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) was harassing Gwen’s husband practically under her nose, and she didn’t notice what Dimitri von Lochner DiMera (Peter Porte) and Leo were doing until she caught them in the act. So, we’ll also have to wait and see if Rafe or Shane encourages Cat to use her beauty and feminine wiles to get the goods on EJ. So, it definitely looks like we have something coming between Cat and EJ, but the question is, is it romance or is it intrigue?
