Sophie Cunningham refused to give a prediction for the next WNBA finals between the Las Vegas Aces and the Phoenix Mercury. The Indiana fever custody discussed the declarations of exit interview with Napheesa Collier, a possible lock-out of the WNBA, among other subjects, in the episode of Friday of its podcast.

The Cunningham co-host, West Wilson, asked her how she thinks that the series would go. However, Cunningham clearly indicated that it had to move away from the toxicity of the league.

“I do not know if I am rooted for one of them,” said Cunningham (26:50), via “show me something”. “I don’t even know if I’m going to look. I’m over, I need a break with the toxicity of the WNBA. It was a season full of drama for several reasons.”

Cunningham did not hesitate to express his reflections on social networks. She criticized the arbitration several times this season and was also sentenced to a fine by the WNBA on different occasions.

Cunningham was one of the main contributors to Indiana’s success, leading the rear area when Caitlin Clark was sidelined. However, her season suddenly ended in August when she suffered an injury to the MCL against Connecticut Sun.

Sophie Cunningham weighs on WNBA arbitration problems

Officer in the WNBA has been a hot topic since the league entered the playoffs. Fans, players and coaches were angry with the calls that the referees made.

Friday, during another segment of her podcast, Sophie Cunningham weighed on arbitration problems.

“I have these conversations to try to clarify where we should take this as a league because I think it is from top to bottom, it is coaches, assistant coaches, players,” said Cunningham (6:20), via “show me something”. “We all say the same thing.”

Cunningham expressed his desire to know the qualification requirements for an NBA referee compared to the WNBA. She suggested that the league arbitrators should receive a higher salary.

“I think we just continue to have these conversations on how we improve the officer,” said Cunningham.

“Their work is very difficult. I would never want their work, but I think there must be some responsibility. In the end, they are part of our game as we want to feel good and be proud that they offer an officer in W. Maybe if we gave them more money, they would feel more invested.”

The Indiana fever custody revealed that the university game referees also surprised his co-host, West Wilson.

Wilson said it was a problem, because there are different ways of an officer of games at different levels.
