Tommy Fleetwood, who won his first PGA Tour victory this year, shared his “Dream” tournament to win in his last interview. Fleetwood reached St Andrews to participate in the Alfred Dunhill Links 2025 championship. The DP World Tour event should take place from October 2 to 5 during the former course in Scotland.

The English golfer carries the momentum of the Ryder Cup recently completed at this week tournament. Although Fleetwood lost against Justin Thomas in Simple, he contributed considerably to the victory of the European team. The Fedex Cup 2025 champion will try to rely on his performance to aim for a higher finish at the old course this week. Last year, Fleetwood finished third place with a final score of 21 sous.

On Wednesday, October 1, Tommy Fleetwood revealed how he dreams of winning the Alfred Dunhill Links championship in St Andrews. During the press conference before the tournament, he expressed his enthusiasm to return to the course as he said:

“So I always liked to come back, and I played it because I don’t know how many years now. I live near it and I have a lot of friends playing this tournament. In addition to that, it’s the old course is one of the places we play. As if it were three of my favorite lessons in the world.”

He then added his dream scenario to the 18th hole after his victory, as he said:

“It’s a big tournament, and yes, whether it is a year Ryder Cup in which we play or not, I always like to come back, and I always dream of winning a tournament in the old course and being on this 18th green. It simply did not happen,” added Fleetwood.

Tommy Fleetwood will make its 23rd appearance of the season in St Andrews. He participated in the DP World Tour event each year consecutively since 2011.

According to Tommy Fleetwood’s declaration on his enthusiasm to come back to play in St Andrews, he was questioned about the weather at the Links golf course. The English golfer shared his opinion on the ideal weather before the Alfred Dunhill Links championship (via Asap Sports):

“This is a very good question, in fact. Preferably not winds of 50 miles.

According to Accuweather, the weather for tournaments should be mainly cloudy. In addition, light rains and showers are expected on one and four days, which could affect the game. However, the tournament should go well for the majority of the week.
