India had a brilliant campaign in 2025 Asia Cup when they beat Pakistan by five counters in the final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, September 28. The men in blue remained undefeated in the competition and finished a three peat on their arc rivals.
There were a lot of positive points for India in the Asian Cup. Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakaravarthy were practically unplayable throughout the tournament, while Abhishek Sharma was the out -of -competition striker on the side. Others like Tilak Varma also had their moments.
However, Suryakumar Yadav and Co. also have some urgent problems to solve. As they build themselves towards the T20 2026 World Cup, which will occur in the first months of the next calendar year, they will have to sort the remaining binks in their armor.
On this note, here are three major concerns for India despite their victory in the 2025 Asian Cup.
# 3 The form of Suryakumar Yadav was miserable in T20is

In 12 T20is in 2025, Suryakumar Yadav only succeeded in an average of 11.1 and a typing rate of 105.26. He has not crossed the brand of the half-century even once and has put three bags in a bag, marking his worst calendar year from a long time since his beginnings for the country.
While Suryakumar scored a ton of races in the Indian League 2025, he often did not seem likely. Many of his main score areas seem to drop him, and he looked at the sea against rhythm and rotation. Although India is not too worried, given the player’s caliber he is, they must also understand that he is on the wrong side of 35.
Benefiting from the Eye-Main coordination, Suryakumar could find it difficult to overcome its current challenges. And the last thing that India needs to participate in the T20 World Cup is a captain whose place in the side is questionable.
# 2 The second problem of Paceer specialist in India could disturb them

The first choice of India by playing Xi in Asia Cup presented Jasprit Bumrah as the only Pacer specialist, with versatile Hhelik Pandya and Shivam Dube giving him company. Even in the final, when Hardik was unfit, Rinku Singh replaced him and not Arshdeep Singh.
Gautam Gambhir clearly enhances the depth of the striker, and in this approach, it is difficult to see how India will adapt to a second specialized designer. Kuldeep and Varun have been practically indisputable, and choosing Arshdeep or another fast launcher would mean that higher order strikers may not be able to play so aggressively.
The use of Bumrah could therefore be strongly limited, and the bowling of the death of India could take a blow on the occasion.
# 1 What is the ideal striking order of India?

Tilak Varma, Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube, Suryakumar Yadav, Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill are all strikers who are ideally used in the first four. Even Hhelik Pandya and Axar Patel, who play as a finish for India, are better suited for turning through the Middle Overs.
In such a scenario, what does the ideal striker of India look like? This is a question that remains unanswered despite the victory in Asia. While Tilak and Dube were not their best with the bat outside the final, Samson is still struggling to adapt to a new role in the average order.
India is not currently enough of average specialists, and these players could have a lot of work in front of them if they want to operate it during the T20 2026 World Cup.
