The American military leaders deployed worldwide have started to prepare to go to Virginia for a meeting with the defense secretary Pete Hegseth next week, which some officials presented on Friday as a rally focused on “warrior ethos”.
Hegseth called us generals and admirals from around the world to a meeting in Quantico, Virginia on Tuesday, a rare rally of the country’s military leadership in one place.
While two American officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that the event would focus on HegSeth’s discussion in need to join a “warrior ethics” in the military, others said that the event of about an hour could approach other regions.
A third civil servant said that, given the number of senior officials in the same place, it was likely that fundamental problems, such as the new national defense strategy of the administration and the expected narrowing of the army’s highest ranks, could be discussed – even if they were not officially on the agenda.

“I would not be surprised if there was a surprise during the event,” said the manager. “We are not looking at guard.”
Officials told Reuters that the event should take place at the University of the Marine Corps in Quantico, Virginia. Some of the highest senior officials, who have American military planes for official travel, should go to the Andrews joint database in Maryland.
The United States has troops around the world, including in distant places such as South Korea, Japan and through the Middle East-which are commanded by generals and admirals of two, three and four stars.
In almost all the public speeches he pronounces, Hegseth speaks of “warrior ethics” and the need for the American army to have a warlike mentality.

Earlier this month, President Donald Trump signed an executive decree to rename the Ministry of Defense as “Ministry of War”, returning to a title which he held until the Second World War, when officials sought to emphasize the role of the Pentagon in conflict prevention.
Hegseth, a former Fox News animator, has moved with an astonishing speed to reshape the department, dismissing generals and admirals as he seeks to implement the national security program of Trump and to eliminate the diversity initiatives he calls discriminatory.
