Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian promised on Saturday that Iran would overcome any reimposition of sanctions on this subject thanks to a process called “snapback”, after the United Nations Security Council voted not to lift sanctions permanently, opens a new tab on Tehran.
“Through the” snapback “, they block the road, but it is the brains and the thoughts that open or build the road,” said Pezeshkian in the remarks carried by state television.
“They cannot stop us. They can hit our Natanz or our Ford (nuclear installations attacked by the United States and Israel in June), but they do not know that it is humans who built and rebuilding Natanz,” said Pezeshkian.

The move of the Security Council intervened Friday after Great Britain, France and Germany launched a 30-day process last month to re-impose sanctions, accusing Tehran not to comply with a 2015 agreement with global powers aimed at preventing it from developing a nuclear weapon.
Iran denies having such intention.
“We will never face excessive requests because we have the power to change the situation,” said Pezeshkian, quoted by State Media.

The “Snapback” process would repimulate UN sanctions against Iran, unless an agreement is concluded on a delay between Tehran and the main European powers in less than a week.
Snapback would repimulate an arms embargo, the prohibition on enrichment and reprocessing uranium, a ban on activities with ballistic missiles capable of providing nuclear weapons, freezing of global assets and travel prohibitions on individuals and Iranian entities.
