The Chinese Ministry of Commerce launched an anti-discrimination investigation into American trade policy on fleas on Saturday, as well as a separate survey on dumping, a day before a new cycle of American trade negotiations in Spain.
The first survey would examine if Washington had discriminated against Chinese companies in its chip trade policies. The second would examine the suspected spill of imports of certain American analog chips used in devices such as hearing aids, Wi-Fi routers and temperature sensors.
The ministry said in a statement that the United States had imposed a series of China restrictions on flea in recent years, including surveys on commercial discrimination and export controls.

These “protectionist” practices are suspected of discriminating China and aim to brake and remove the development of China from high-tech industries such as advanced computer flea and artificial intelligence, he added.
Talk to start Madrid
A delegation which will be led by Chinese Deputy Prime Minister, He Lifeng, is expected to launch a new series of dialogues with the United States from September 14 to 17 in Madrid.
The Ministry of Commerce said that the two parties will discuss economic and commercial issues such as American prices, the “abuses” of export controls and Tiktok. In a separate declaration on talks on Saturday, he questioned Washington’s policies.
“What is the intention of the United States to impose sanctions on Chinese companies at the moment?” said the ministry.
“China urges the United States to immediately correct its erroneous practices and stop its unjustified suppression of Chinese companies. China will take the necessary measures to resolutely protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies.”
Friday, the United States added 32 entities, including 23 in China, to a limited commercial list of the Commerce Department. They included two Chinese companies accused of having acquired American Tamias manufacturing equipment for the best manufacturer of Chinese Smic fleas.
The next American-Chinese talks in Spain will be the fourth major meeting in person this year while the two countries are looking to maintain a commercial truce that has reduced the reprisals on both sides and has restored the flow of Chinese minerals in rare earths in the United States.
After meetings in Geneva and London, the two parties largely agreed at the end of July in Stockholm to extend a price break for 90 other days. President Donald Trump approved the extension from August 12 to November 10.
Bytedance’s short video application, Tiktok, which faces a potential ban in the United States, unless it is moving to American property, will be on the agenda of talks in Spain.

Trump extended a deadline for Tiktok to give in his American assets until September 17. US legislators have said that Tiktok’s American user data could fall into the hands of the Chinese government.
“The Chinese government attaches great importance to data confidentiality and security and has never forced companies or individuals that they collect or provide data located in foreign countries for the Chinese government in violation of local laws,” said the people’s official people of China on Saturday.
If the United States insists on undermining the legitimate interests of Chinese companies, China will take the necessary measures to protect the national interests and the rights of Chinese companies, wrote the Chinese newspaper.
