Khawaja Asif refutes the post of Elon Musk linking the Pakistani affair to Sharia law

 Magic Post

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif rejected the claims of the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, after sharing an X position connecting an old case of “revenge rape” in Pakistan to Sharia law.

The incident, which occurred in 2018 in Toba Tek Singh, involved a tribal decision allowing the rape of the sister of an accused of reprisals. Musk’s post, although shared without commentary, was largely interpreted as an attempt to portray the act as sanctioned under Islamic law.

The post has aroused strong online criticisms, many stressing that such practices arise from illegal tribal custom, not Sharia law or Pakistani law.

Responding to X, Asif has clarified:

“It was a tribal arrangement, nothing to do with sharia or advice, absolutely incorrect. Twenty people were arrested and prosecuted. “

According to information, the case began when a man violated a woman in Pirmahal. After the victim’s family rejected the arguments, they asked the accused’s sister to be attacked in return. The two families agreed with the arrangement, bypassing the legal authorities.

Once the case has been revealed, the police intervened, arrested several people involved – including women from the two families – and continued prosecution.
