Blackwater survived Converge, 93-91, Saturday behind Sedrick Barefield to burst into the Kadayawan Basketball Tournament Championship match at the Southeast Philippine University gymnasium in Davao City.

The three in Bare with less than two minutes to do put the boss on the top for good and finally seal the first niche of the final with a perfect record of 3-0.

They will go for the crown against the Nlex Road Warriors, who in the Nightcap displayed a 100-96 victory against the Phoenix Fuel Masters.

Nlex set up the title test after finishing the Tour of the Tour in second place with a 2-1 file. The road warriors and the boss will meet in the tournament final at 7 p.m. Sunday.

Converge (1-2) and Phoenix (0-3) will meet for third place at 5 p.m.

Blackwater beat Nlex, 95-90, on the second day of the tournament which served as preparation for the 50th PBA season in October.

Barefield gave Blackwater an advance of 90-87 after Converge equaled the count on the previous game thanks to Triple of Alec Stockton with 2:14 to play.
