Prince William, the future King of England, is no stranger to controversy, but recent relationships and speculation suggest that his actions and his tense relations could put the royal family – and even the monarchy – at risk.

While William holds the title of Prince of Wales, his popularity has taken a hit, in particular because of his tense relationship with his younger brother, Prince Harry. Speculation on social media indicates William’s reported anger problems, some suggesting that they could also undermine not only his family, but also the future of the monarchy. A source close to the royal family revealed that King Charles fears that if William is not looking for therapy, the consequences could be a great range, affecting both the stability of the royal family and the monarchy itself.

In addition to tensions with his brother, he becomes clear that William has no interest in repairing his relationship with Harry. Despite several attempts by Harry to reach out, William will ignore his calls, SMS and messages. This cold distance is a reflection of the current animosity between the two, in particular after the public criticism of Harry and Meghan Markle with regard to the royal family. For William, it seems that the damage caused by his brother’s actions are irreparable.

Meanwhile, William is also making the headlines with his refusal to maintain certain royal traditions. Such an example is his decision to give up wearing the kilt when he goes up on the throne. While King Charles has long maintained the tradition of carrying kilts during official events and personal moments in Scotland, William is categorical that he will not follow him. Sources close to the situation have revealed that the royal family has unique, although eccentric rules, with regard to clothes in Scotland, men traditionally carrying kilts during official commitments and in service. Even Princess Diana, known for her aversion to Scottish traditions, has made an effort to embrace customs, to the delight of the public.

Despite these controversies, William remains a central figure of the royal family. Harry, in a frank reflection, has already described William as “his beloved brother and his enemies”, which sums up the complex relationship between the two.

For the moment, it seems that Prince William is confronted with several challenges both within his family and in the way he sails on his royal functions. It remains to be seen that these tensions calm down or degenerate, but one thing is certain: the path of the future king is far from smooth.
