Kate Middleton and Prince William say goodbye to one of their most reliable staff members, Natasha Archer, who decided to leave after more than 15 years of work with the royal couple. Archer, who played a key role in the couple’s public life, will leave the Palais de Kensington to establish his own private council. The Maison des Pays de Wales expressed its best wishes to Archer as it embarks on its new commercial enterprise.
A long -standing relationship with Kate Middleton
Archer started working with Middleton and Prince William in 2010 as a personal assistant, quickly becoming a familiar and vital presence in their team. Over time, Archer has particularly close to Kate Middleton, going from a personal assistant to her unofficial stylist. In fact, Archer played a pivotal role in shaping Middleton’s evolutionary fashion sense, helping him get out of his style shell.
An initiate of 2014 revealed that Kate had encouraged more fashion risks, helping the princess’ clothes to find and try hundreds of dresses. As a result, Middleton’s style has become more daring, with shorter hems and more adventurous choices.
A new role and a new promotion before departure
Last summer, Middleton promoted Archer to a private executive assistant, recognizing his loyalty and discretion. The appointment of Archer was considered a way to thank her for years of dedication, sources describing Archer as a key figure in the household.
Before joining Wales, Archer had worked in the Duke’s private office and the Duchess of Gloucester. She is married to the royal photographer of Getty Chris Jackson, with whom she shares two children.
