Manila, Philippines – There was no preventing the Extreme Eastern University from sweeping the first round of the male volleyball tournament of the UAAP season 87. Even the room could do nothing about it.
The Tamaraws jumped on the Green Spikers, 22-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-19, to raise their impressive record at 7-0.
The tandem of Dryx Saavedra and Lirick Mendoza propelled 17 and 13 points respectively, while the recruit Vennie Ceballos showed his courage with 13 receptions built on 12 excavations.
