Marco Rubio meets the Saudi Crown Prince to discuss Gaza’s plans

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman discussed Gaza’s plans at a meeting on Monday, said State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce.

Rubio visits the Middle East after President Donald Trump exasperated the Arab world with a proposal for Palestinian residents of the war torn apart in other Arab countries and for the United States to conduct the reconstruction of the Enclave.

“The secretary underlined the importance of an arrangement for Gaza which contributes to regional security,” said the spokesperson for the State Department, Tammy Bruce, in a reading of the meeting between Rubio and the Crown Prince.

The two also reaffirmed their commitment to the cease-fire agreed last month between Israel and Hamas and discussed Syria, Lebanon and the Red Sea, said Bruce.

The Saudi -state news agency SPA said it has discussed regional and global developments and efforts to achieve security and stability.

Rubio arrived in Saudi Arabia earlier in Israel’s day when he started his first visit to the region as the first American diplomat.

The previously planned visit to Rubio has before a meeting provided between US officials with the Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Lavrov, who should focus on the end of the war in Ukraine and the restoration of Russia-US links.

One of the two parties mentioned discussions on Ukraine.
