The team goalkeeper of the India team, Sanju Samson, would be out of service for more than a month after information said that he had fractured his finger during the fifth T20i against England in Mumbai. The right -handed striker was struck by a delivery of Jofra Archer on his index when he struck during the fifth and last T20i against England at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai.

According to reports, the 30 -year -old has returned to Thiruvanthapuram and will resume training only after his rehabilitation to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru and will require authorization to return to competitive action. A BCCI source said that Samson is also very little likely to play in the Ranji trophy in the quarter -finals.

Here is what the BCCI source, as cited by PTI said:

“Samson has fractured his right index. It will take five to six weeks before being able to resume the appropriate nets. So there is no chance that he will play the quarter -final of the Ranji Trophy for the Kerala (vs J & K) to Pune from February 8- 12. “

He should return to the action during the next edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Sanju Samson also the captains of the Royals of Rajasthan in the IPL and its presence will be essential if the franchise has to raise its first title since the inaugural edition.

Meanwhile, the cricket player born in Kerala experienced difficulties in the series of five games against England, registering only 51 points with a better 26 years, with an average of 10.20. Samson’s sleeves started on Sunday with a blow while he was looting the first heap ball for a six, but was finally dismissed for 16 in the second by Mark Wood.

The finger injury also made it unavailable to keep the counters when England came out to beat while Dhruv Jurel took the gloves. Nevertheless, the hosts beat England by 150 points after the 135 of Abhishek Sharma propelled them to 247/9.

The two games will now play three ODIs, from Thursday, February 6 in Nagpur.
