13-time WWE Champion Subtly Confirms He’s Returning To AEW As A Heel

 Magic Post

A former WWE and AEW champion has seemingly teased a heel turn while counting down the days until his return. The star in question, Dustin Rhodes, is currently out due to injury.

The Natural has been absent from action since losing his TNT Championship to Kyle Fletcher in late July. Dustin found himself on the receiving end of a lot of punishment during his brutal Chicago Street Fight against The Protostar, especially as the latter attacked his legs during and after the match. The veteran underwent a double knee replacement last August and is currently recovering.

Throughout his tenure in AEW, Rhodes operated as a babyface. He hasn’t played a villainous character for some time now – a fact that may soon change, judging by the legend’s latest X/Twitter post. The former multi-time WWE Champion wrote:

“I kinda miss being a heel. It’s been so long since I’ve been one.”

I kinda miss being a heel. I haven’t been there in so long.

It remains to be seen when Dustin Rhodes will return to All Elite programming.

AEW’s Dustin Rhodes Reacts to WWE Legend’s Daughter Starting Her Wrestling Training

A few days ago, Reality of Wrestling announced that Sherilyn Guerrero would begin her journey inside the squared circle, as she prepared to begin her training at the promotion’s school. The 30-year-old will join the family business and follow in the footsteps of her father, the legendary Eddie Guerrero. After Sherilyn herself confirmed the news on her X/Twitter profile, her post prompted a response from AEW’s Dustin Rhodes, who wrote a heartwarming three-word note of encouragement:

“Go get ’em, girl!! ❤️” – posted Dustin.

The artist formerly known as Goldust has apparently never faced Eddie Guerrero one-on-one on a major platform. However, the two men shared the ring in WWE twice in 2002 – first, in a ten-man tag team bout on the July 8 episode of Monday Night RAW, and then in a standard tag team match pitting The Bizarre One and Booker T (coincidentally, one of the founders of Reality of Wrestling) against Latino Heat and Chris Benoit four days later on a house show.
