Jacob Fatu’s Real Injury Was Confirmed From An Angle On WWE SmackDown
It was previously reported that Fatu suffered an actual injury unrelated to wrestling. The injury is also said to be serious, with the star out for the rest of the year. The exact details of the injury were not specified, but it led to the star being away from the ring not only for the next three months, but also for what comes next, with his Royal Rumble appearance also in question for the end of January.
As for how WWE decided to cut him from television, the star was found backstage with shelves dropped on him. He was bleeding from the mouth from the injury and coughing from his teeth.
Drew McIntyre said he had nothing to do with it despite their previous feud. He claimed he was innocent of any attack on the star. It ended with a brawl between McIntyre and Rhodes and a sudden title match.

Fatu only recently returned to WWE TV. His injury couldn’t have come at a worse time as it looked like he was set for a big feud with Drew McIntyre heading into the new year, which would have also played a role in the WWE Championship.
Fatu’s chances of doing so could now be ruined due to the injury and he will have to wait until later to be able to shoot again.
