Days of our Lives: Stephanie’s revolving door
We’ve seen unwelcome visitors knocking on Stephanie’s door lately. The first was her ex-boyfriend, Jeremy Horton (Trevor Donovan), who had pink roses and many excuses for his past behavior. The second unwanted visitor was hotshot reporter Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart). He also showed up at Stephanie’s door, but not with flowers. Instead, Leo made accusations and rumors that Stephanie was the person behind the alias Anastasia Sands. Even though Stephanie has shut Leo down, it’s clearly only a matter of time.
EJ DiMera’s Betrayal: How Stephanie’s secret was leaked to Leo Stark
What really stinks is that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) reported Stephanie to Leo. EJ let out her secret, which he said he would keep until Leo stopped asking questions. At first, he was asking about the power outage and whether the hospital construction was the cause. Leo then also asked who actually shot him. This is the thing that Elvis Jr. tries to avoid revealing because he’s a little creepy on Rachel Black (Alice Halsey).
So EJ quickly spills her secret, and Leo now knows the truth. It’s only a matter of time before Stephanie’s big secret comes out. Will Alex and Stephanie launch a plan to reveal the writer? This way, they can make sure they control when and how it gets out instead of it leaking from the previous lady whistleblower. If he were still the lady whistleblower, he would have leaked it already. We know that.

Stephanie’s first bookOne stormy night“, written under the name Anastasia Sands, has been a smash hit. It’s a bestseller across the country. Everyone wants to know who wrote the book, but right now only a few people know that Stephanie wrote the erotic romance novel. It’s still very much a hidden secret. Both EJ and Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) know. Kate Roberts knows (Lauren Koslow) too, and so is Alex, and now Leo. Additionally, Jeremy discovered this by reading the book.
Because Stephanie was concerned about damage to her reputation as a public relations professional, she remained uncomfortable with the idea of the general public knowing that she was the author. But with Leo’s final confrontation in the apartment, everything is about to change.
Secret from Heaven: How Stephanie’s past inspired her thriller on DOOL
When Stephanie first wrote the book, she wanted to publish it under a pseudonym so her PR clients wouldn’t think she was superficial. She was horrified when Alex didn’t do what he was told and cut the mile-high club section of the book that Stephanie said should be published. This is what Jeremy realized when he picked up the dirty book to do some light reading. Stephanie has included some sexy naughty things for the flight attendant and pilot drawn from her past experience when Jeremy used to fly planes and Stephanie worked with him.
EJ found out the author’s secret, if you remember because he mistakenly suspected Kayla of being Anastasia when an online fan Q&A was hosted in the hospital office during a power outage. Stephanie admitted that she was the whistleblower who got Kayla out from under EJ’s accusations. So, for now, EJ, Kayla, Jeremy, Alex, and her editor all know Kate.
The big reveal: Will Alex convince Stephanie to take control of her narrative within days?
Stephanie stuck it out with Leo and tried to pressure him on whether she was really Anastasia Sands. But what is abundantly clear is that Stephanie knows that her identity is at risk and could soon be exposed whether she likes it or not. According to Alex, we also know that Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) wants to host a book signing during the grand reopening of her new bookstore in Horton Town Square. But unless Stephanie reveals herself as Anastasia Sands, this will be very difficult to pull off.
Alex might make her think that the time has come for Stephanie to announce to Salem and to the whole world that she is the mastermind and pen behind Anastasia and…One stormy night“And the new mystery novel she wrote that’s about to be released. He’s been gently pushing Stephanie to reveal Days of Our Lives. So, Alex thinks Stephanie should come out of the writer’s closet, give up her day job in PR, and just be a full-time writer. It could happen sooner rather than later now that Leo knows her big, dirty secret.”
Days of our Lives: Will EJ have to respond to gossip?
The reporter really got to EJ when he started looking into who actually shot him. Of course, this is what panicked him and prompted him to tell Leo about Stephanie’s secret identity. I wonder if she’ll go back to EJ and chew him out for spilling her sexy secret to Leo. Stephanie was hoping AJ wouldn’t tell anyone, but he’s not particularly trustworthy. Now that he does, it may affect his working relationship with Stephanie, but EJ can’t solve the problem.
There is still a question because she may not know 100% that it was EJ. I don’t think Leo dropped his name. So whether or not Stephanie confronts EJ depends on whether she finds out he’s the source of the leak. Stephanie also knows that Jeremy knows and will tell people. So Stephanie might think that Jeremy told Leo about her sexy romance as a form of revenge.
Strategic Moves: Exclusive Interview or Big Public Debut?
With all these looming risks that she could face, we could see Alex convince Stephanie to act fast, or come up with a stunning press release or some sort of first big event. Alex would want Stephanie to make a big splash and announce that she’s the woman behind this amazing book in a really big way. He actually thinks that Stephanie’s reputation as a PR representative won’t be damaged and he actually thinks it would be great for her business. So, Alex would also rather see Stephanie leave this job and pursue her dream of becoming a full-time writer anyway.
Over the next couple of weeks, we could see Stephanie and Alex coming up with a plan to introduce her as Anastasia Sands. They’re supposed to make a big announcement. We’ll see if that’s what it is or if it’s something else, but it’s definitely something to think about. I wonder if the reveal will backfire as Stephanie feared or if it will be as wonderful as Alex hopes and as he keeps telling her it will be.
I know that Stephanie would rather tell people herself than let Leo go and expose her. Maybe Alex and Stephanie could reach out to Leo and offer him an exclusive interview or something so he doesn’t give it away before they want to release it officially. Either way, the clock is ticking before the whole world knows that Stephanie is really Anastasia Sands.
