Paris Jackson allegedly received $65 million in benefits from her late father Michael Jackson’s estate, according to an Oct. 9 court filing. The substantial amount was disclosed as part of the executors’ response to concerns raised by Paris earlier this year over payments from his father’s estate.
The executors defended their action by emphasizing that Paris had greatly benefited from their management of the estate. They claimed she received this large sum thanks to their successful business decisions, which transformed Michael Jackson’s estate from a deeply indebted entity into a thriving $2 billion powerhouse in the music industry.
Paris, 27, previously expressed concerns in a document filed in June, questioning the executors’ approval of large payments to law firms. The estate responded, emphasizing its role in fixing the estate’s financial situation, while Paris’ filing highlighted $625,000 in payments made to three law firms in 2018 that it called excessive.
In addition to ongoing disputes with Paris, a September filing revealed that the estate was also grappling with lawsuits filed by Michael Jackson’s sexual assault accusers, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who are seeking $400 million in damages. The estate has denied the allegations, calling the lawsuits baseless.
Despite the legal battles, Paris recently had a heartwarming reunion with her aunt Janet Jackson at Paris Fashion Week, dispelling rumors of tension between the two. Paris was seen kissing Janet at the Tom Ford fashion show, showing a positive family moment amid the ongoing legal drama.
