Subscribers create up to five personalized profiles, including kid-friendly accounts with parental controls

Warner Bros.’ HBO Max streaming platform Discovery has officially launched in 15 new countries, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Macau, Sri Lanka and Ukraine, expanding its presence in Asia and Europe.

The service, long awaited by local fans of the world-famous HBO shows, is now available for streaming in Pakistan through its website and app stores. Viewers can access iconic titles from HBO, Max Originals, Warner Bros., DC Universe, Discovery and Wizarding World; all in one place.

Among the titles available are global hits such as Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, The Last of Us, The Penguin and The Pitt. Hollywood blockbusters including the Superman collections, A Minecraft Movie, The Lord of the Rings and The Matrix, as well as the Harry Potter films, are also part of the catalog.

Reality TV fans can catch Discovery’s Deadliest Catch and Gold Rush, while kids can enjoy Tom and Jerry, The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball and Looney Tunes. Classic sitcoms such as Friends and The Big Bang Theory are set to join the platform in January 2026.

Upcoming programming includes new Max Originals such as IT: Welcome to Derry, premiering October 27, a prequel series set in Stephen King’s IT universe and from creators Andy and Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs. Several anticipated films, including M3GAN 2.0, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, How To Train Your Dragon and Weapons, are also expected to be released in the coming months.

Packages and prices in Pakistan

HBO Max offers two subscription tiers for Pakistani users:

  • Standard plan: Rs800 per month or Rs5,600 per year

  • Premium Plan: Rs 1,100 per month or Rs 7,700 per year

    • Stream to up to four devices

    • 4K Ultra HD video and Dolby Atmos (if available)

    • Up to 100 downloads for offline viewing

Subscribers can create up to five personalized profiles, including child-friendly accounts with parental controls. The platform supports LG and Samsung smart TVs, among other major devices, and allows users to continue streaming while traveling in countries where HBO Max is available.
