Typhoon Matmo struck southern China on Sunday, said the state broadcaster, after thefts and many events were canceled in the insular province of Hainan, causing a disturbance at first vacation.
Matmo, which caused floods to the Philippines last week, hit Earth on the east coast of Xuwen in Guangdong province around 2:50 p.m. (0650 GMT)

He generated winds of 151 km / h (94 MPH) as the Chinese coast approached, said National Meteorological Center.
The typhoon arrived in the middle of the eight -day holidays that started with national day on Wednesday, during which people should make around 2.36 billion trips, according to the estimates reported by the state media.
The flights and ferries in the Hainan holiday center had already been canceled on Saturday evening in anticipation of strong winds and heavy rains of Matmo.
