Arsenal’s legend, Thierry Henry, said Barcelona needed to abandon their high -line approach if they wanted to win the UEFA Champions League. He added that they are exhibited in the big games, and Hansi Flick must try a new tactic.
Speaking on CBS Sports, Henry said that the right teams were easily on the height of Barcelona, and Flick must change his tactics in the games. He added that the opponents are always against one with the goalkeeper if they exceed the defense and said (via Barca Blaugranes):
“You can’t play in the Champions League with this High Line. I’m sorry.
Henry continued, stressing that the bench is not strong enough on the Catalan side and said:
“If you want to win, go away and do well in the competition, you must have players who can give everything when they come. For a season, you need the bench to get in trouble. This is why PSG signed Goncalo Ramos. It was an important investment. When a player presents himself, he must try to change the game.
Barcelona lost 2-1 at home against PSG in the UEFA Champions League, despite the reigning champions who missed several players from the first team team due to injuries.
Barcelona Manager admits that PSG deserved to win
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick spoke about the performance of his team, saying that they played well in the first 30 minutes, but were not the best team as a whole. He believes that PSG deserved to win the match and said:
“In the first half, in the first half hour, we were better than in the second, but we did not play our best against an opponent who deserved to win. It’s a big team.”
Barcelona and PSG were about to meet in the UEFA Champions League final last season, but the Catalan team lost its semi-final against Inter Milan, which finally lost in the Ligue 1 team in the final.
