From the tumultuous mess Frankfurt halls, Global Finance is directly informed of the opening day of Sibos 2025, where artificial intelligence dominates the conversation.
Artificial intelligence occupies the center of the SIBOS 2025, which started on Monday, which indicates how it developed from the floral word to the main strategic focus in financial services. The attendees can expect to identify the practical impact of AI, moral concerns, and the ability to transfer various financing areas, including compliance, customer experience and infrastructure development.
The topic of the conference, the “coming borders of global finance”, guarantees the woven intelligence during the program, with more than 250 sessions and more than 500 expert speakers. The main topics will include:
- The return on investment from artificial intelligence: measuring its revolutionary effect;
- Artificial Intelligence Governance by border: Building global standards in a divided world;
- Artificial intelligence and emerging technology: promoting global trade safety and efficiency;
- ESG, AI and Capital Markets: Explore a revolution in financial markets; and
- Artificial intelligence as a teammate: mobility in the transformation in the workplace.
A new addition to 2025 is the artificial intelligence wing, and it is a dedicated educational space sponsored by Microsoft and Fleenitede. It will include daily educational sessions sponsored by SIBOS and Swift, conversations that the sponsor leads on areas such as financial crime prevention and artificial intelligence safety, and exhibitors that depend on technology that display artificial intelligence. “This wing will be a place to learn, as everyone can feel welcome to join intimate sessions with expert speakers who will aim at a cooperative way to remove mystery from some common topics on artificial intelligence,” says Rachel Levy, head of the Foundation AI & EnableMent in Swift.
Innotribe, “The Conference within a Conference” that focuses on the future, will also be shown AI. The sessions will deepen topics such as “artificial intelligence alignment culturally: rethinking payments in a global financial system”, to explore how various cultural perspectives are the future of artificial intelligence in payments. The “contradictory views” session will be discussed whether “artificial intelligence” should have a free agency, as the difference on both sides argues. Innotribe’s closure will show the older and younger speakers for new views on innovation.
Finally, German future player Gerd Leonard will present a major speech entitled “The next ten years: AI, AGI and the future of business, society and humanity”, discussing the capabilities of Amnesty International to solve humanitarian challenges with a warning of existential risks and emphasizing global cooperation and strong governance.
Sibos 2025 also reveals that artificial intelligence is not just a subject of discussion but a strong catalyst, and the financial world pushes an era of unprecedented transformation and innovation.
