The United States and Great Britain are planning to announce more than $ 10 billion in economic transactions this week as part of US President Donald Trump’s state visit, senior US officials announced on Monday.
The two governments should seal a trade agreement with three pillars: a new scientific and technological partnership to strengthen the technological sectors of both countries, cooperation in civilian nuclear energy and the progress of defense technological cooperation, officials said during a telephone briefing.
Several American business leaders are supposed to attend the state visit, the officials added.

Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will have to arrive late Tuesday for interviews with King Charles and Queen Camilla on Wednesday at Windsor Castle, followed by a state dinner that evening.
Trump will meet British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Thursday and both provide for a joint press conference. Trump will return to Washington later in the evening.
Trump is the first American president to be invited to two state dinners by the British monarchy. His first took place in 2019 during his first mandate.

US officials have said that future agreements would focus on economic cooperation between the two long -standing allies, with at least $ 10 billion in expected transactions.
“This visit gives the president the possibility of strengthening links with a particularly close partner and ally, while advancing the interests of economic and foreign policy,” said one of the US officials.
