Bayern Munich’s Livestock Nicolas Jackson broke his silence on the dramatic move of Chelsea loan. The Senegal striker said he was sad to leave the Premier League team but thought it was time for a new project.
Bayern Munich concluded a loan agreement with Chelsea for Jackson, and the attacker was on his way to Germany on Saturday August 30. The blues played Fulham at the same time when Liam Delap was injured.
FIFA World World Cup champions disconnected the move of the loan, Jackson and his agents obtaining information just a few minutes after landing in Munich. The striker insisted to join the Bundesliga team and obtained his wish after the club renegotiated the agreement.
Addressing Tuttosport about this decision, Jackson said he was happy at Stamford Bridge but thought that his stay at the club was over. He congratulated the manager Enzo Maresca during the two seasons and said (via Mirror):
“(There were) very strong emotions, but not for the reasons you might think. I was simply very happy to sign for one of the biggest clubs in the world, to discover another league and other great players. At the same time, I was a little sad to leave Chelsea, my teammates and the fans. Allianz Arena.
“Football is full of cycles. Sometimes things don’t happen as they should, and it’s part of the game. I respect Maresca, I learned a lot from him, he has his own ideas and style. I just needed something different at this stage of my career. I have no regrets, just gratitude for my time in Chelsea. ”
Bayern Munich has an obligation of 65 million euros to buy next summer and pays 16.5 million euros as a loan fees for Jackson. The striker has already accepted. The 5 -year agreement with the Bundesliga team, if the move was finished.

Nicolas Jackson’s agent Ali Barat criticized Chelsea after concluding the loan agreement for his client to join Bayern Munich. He said they were fighting against the Premier League team to let the attacker join the German champions and said (via the sun):
“Nico was ready, Bayern was ready. We were all aligned with a world class project. For the agreement to be withdrawn at the last moment is deeply frustrating. But we will not give up, I will fight with all that I have to make sure that Nico’s next step reflects his talent ambition and the plan that we built together.”
Chelsea signed Nicolas Jackson in 2023 for 32 million pounds sterling from Villarreal. He scored 30 goals and helped 12 times in his 81 games for the Blues during his two seasons at the club.
