Ronald Tubid intends to make terrafirma competitive while he assumes the difficult role as a new team coach.
The Dyip hit Tubed to call the shots for the 50th season after management has failed to obtain the sale of the franchise in Starhorse and the Zamboanga Valientes in recent months.
While Tubid, who had previously occupied the role of the team leader and the deputy coach, admitted that at least five players were still under contract, it is impatient to do with what he can have, in particular with the recovery of the PBA rookie just at the corner of the street.
“We will not join the PBA if we do not want to win,” Tubid told Thursday’s draft at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
“For me, if there is a chance to get solid players, we hope to maximize what we have and do our best to do the playoffs,” he added.
Terrafirma has the choice n ° 1 in the Sunday procedure by winning only three games last season. Juan Gomez de Liano, Jason Brickman, Dalph Panopio, Will Gozum and Geo Chiu are among the first choices planned.
But the possibility that the dyip finally sent this choice to the unpredictable future remains there, given the history of the promising talent trading team.
In fact, Terrafirma recently exchanged the rights to the return of Javi Gomez from Liano to Magnolia in exchange for Jerrick Ahanmisi and the second choice of draft.
“We are always undecided, although we already have a list of players we could select,” said Tubid.
