Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi headed abroad on Thursday to meet the leaders of China, Japan and Russia, seeking to build closer diplomatic links while New Delhi beats the benefits of the climbing offensive of US President Donald Trump.
Approaching some of the world’s largest economies, including its first visit to China in seven years, Modis hopes to stimulate the support of its flagship initiative “Make in India”, mainly Japan, while Trump’s measures stimulate new partnerships.
“This will be an opportunity to launch several new initiatives to strengthen resilience in the relationship and to respond to emerging opportunities and challenges,” said Foreign Minister Vikram Misri about Japan’s visit.

While New Delhi says he is composing on talks to resolve Trump’s additional rates that are up to 50% on Indian exports, the first Japanese commercial negotiator canceled an American visit to a hook in the tariff agreement of the two countries.
Ryosei Akazawa was to go to Washington to make a written confirmation of the terms of the package, such as the distribution of investment yields between us and Japan, but canceled Thursday at the last minute.

Japanese companies are expected to invest up to 10 Billion in Yen ($ 68 billion) in India in the next decade, said the NHK public broadcaster, while Suzuki Motor is committed to pump about $ 8 billion over the next five to six years.
The two nations were made for the partners for the others, Modi said this week after visiting a Suzuki factory in India.
Their leaders should discuss links on critical minerals and Japanese investments in high value in India, officials said.
