China has condemned the strike, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Guo Jiakun, said: “We are shocked and condemn the fact that medical staff and journalists have again lost their lives in the conflict. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada also published a statement, saying that it was “horrified” by the strike and calling for the death of journalists, health officials and “unacceptable” rescuers.
