New York – Federal investigators no longer consider the free agent of NBA Malik Beasley as a target in their gaming probe, Beasley’s lawyers told ESPN.
Lawyers Steve Haney and Mike Schachter said they had what the report called “extended” conversations and meetings with the Eastern New York district authorities.

“From months after the start of this investigation, Malik remains not loaded and is not the target of this investigation,” said Haney in Espn. “An allegation without accusation, accusation or conviction should never have the catastrophic consequence that this caused Malik. This was literally the opposite of the presumption of innocence. ”
Beasley’s lawyers did not immediately respond to emails and telephone calls from the Associated Press asking for comments, and the Brooklyn’s American prosecutor’s office refused to comment.
The PA reported at the end of June that Beasley was investigated, over 14 months after the NBA prohibited Jontay Porter de Toronto after being linked to an accessory investigation. Porter finally pleaded guilty of having committed wired fraud.

Beasley’s links with the investigation were particularly badly incurred since he joined the pistons last year on a one -year contract of $ 6 million in the hope of collecting this summer as a free agent.
He became just the fifth player in the history of the NBA to make at least 300,300 points (a franchise record 319) in a season while making an average of 16.3 points for a eliminatory team.
