Johann Chua, Jefrey Roda and Michael Baoanan went to the 16th round of the American open swimming pool championship after winning their respective matches in the direct elimination of Atlantic City, New Jersey.

CHUA has ahead of Thorsten Hohmann from Germany, 10-9, before beating Alexander Kazakis, 10-6 from Greece, to keep his chances of winning one of the biggest events at 9 balls from the professional pool circuit.

Roda also kept its strong shape by winning Oliver Szolnoki, 10-8, and Sullivan Clark of New Zealand, 10-5, while Baoanan also reached the last 16, but not before putting a massive return.

Baoanan beat the American Tyler Syker, 10-4, before Jesus Atencio de Jesus Atencio du Venezuela, 10-9, after winning the last five racks in the last 32.

Action resumes Friday with semi-final places to be determined at the end of the day.

Chua Combat Aleksa Pecelj in Serbia, Roda meets Aloysius Yapp from Singapore while Baoanan tackles the Duong Quoc Hoang of Vietnam.

The three are the only artists of the Filipino Cue on the field after the winner of 2021 Carlo Biado and seven others were eliminated.

Biado has been shown at the Porte de Denis Grabe d’Estonie, 10-3, in the Tour of 64, where Roberto Gomez, Harry Vergara, Lee Van Corteza, Bernie Regalario and Marvin Asis were demolished.

Baseth Mocaibat, on the other hand, lost against the Albin Ouschan of Austria at the beginning of 32.
