Manila, Philippines – Kurashiki Ablaze withdrew from the PVL Invitational due to an internal problem involving head coach Hideo Suzuki, with Zus Coffee working to complete the new field with six teams.
The PVL announced Thursday that Ablaze retired just two days before their first match planned against his Japanese colleague Kobe Shinwa University in Philsports Arena. This decision reached after Suzuki has committed a serious violation of compliance.

“We regret informing you that we have received an opinion from Japan Volleyball League indicating that our head coach, Hideo Suzuki, may have committed a serious compliance violation,” said Daisuke Watanabe, representative director of Ablaze Co. Ltd., in an official statement.
“In response to this notification, our team decided to immediately start an internal investigation and suspend all activities until the details of the incident are fully clarified.”
“It is with great regret that we must inform you of our decision to withdraw from participation in the PVL Invitational. We sincerely apologize for any drawback of this sudden decision, made so close to the start of the tournament, can cause all parties involved,” he added.
Kurashiki governed the 2023 invitation conference after beating Creamline in a classic in five sets. Team V. League missed the final last year after finishing with a 2-2 file, but captured bronze after swept the Thai club, is Cola.
The PVL has operated the fifth team of the PVL on tour to finish the programming of the tournament.
An invitation was initially offered to the cultivation of the owner Frank Lao, but he rather chose to set up the Thondebelles of the Zus Coffee, citing the incomplete list of Foxies and the lack of complete preparation.
