Liverpool, England – Liverpool players and fans paid emotional tribute to Diogo Jota and his brother, Andre Silva, Friday in the first competition match in Anfield since their death last month.
Before kick-off during the 4-2 victory against Bournemouth in the Premier League, Liverpool fans maintained signs to explain “DJ20” and “AS30” in two of the stands for a period of silence in honor of the Portuguese players, who were killed in a car accident in Spain. The players of the Liverpool team stood their arm in the central circle.

The players of the two teams wore black armbands, as well as the manager of Liverpool, Arne Slot and the members of his background staff.
Before that, there was an interpretation of “You will never walk alone” because banners, flags and scarves commemorating Jota were agitated in the crowd. A photo of Jota and Silva was shown on the big screen.
After the final whistle, Mohamed Salah – Liverpool’s final goal scorer – was in tears while he was standing in front of the Kop stand, continued to make a song on Jota who was sung by the supporters of the house.
