Manila, Philippines – Justin Brownlee struck a three to force extensions before Kevin Quiambao delivers the finishing strokes while Gilas Pilipinas survives the host of Saudi Arabia, 95-88, to reach the quarter -finals of the Fiba Asia Cup Tuesday (Manila Time) in King Abdullah Sports.
Brownlee came with 3.7 seconds to play in regulation for even the count at 79 years before Quiambao buried two triples in the additional period to crown a performance of 17 points while Gilas overcome a difficult Saudi team to set up a final battle with the Australia group.

This despite the gilas who lose steam after an advance of 10 points in the first trimester and seeming to go home with a deficit of 77-71 with 1:35 to do in fourth row.
Brownlee lost 29 points above four rebounds and five assists while Jedu, Dwight Ramos and Scottie Thompson also came for the Philippines.
Edu collected 17 points, 11 rebounds and four assists, Ramos posted 13 points, 10 rebounds and three assists while Thompson collected four points, 10 rebounds and four assists.
The Philippines resisted the great performances of the prolific marker Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman and the Grand Mohammad Alsuwailem.

Abdur-Rahkman scored 33 points out of eight three while Alsuwailem put three faults in third to make 26 points and 14 rebounds.
Brownlee and Edu had consecutive baskets to reduce Saudi’s advance to 77-76, but Alsuwailem scored an airball by Abdur-Rahkman, 8.4 seconds in the fourth, for a three-point lead by the host.
Gilas went to Brownlee out of the entrance, and the player with a certain number of big strokes for the club and the country delivered the three on a tie of the left elbow. He also forced Abdur-Rahkman to miss a corner tour on the following possession to force overtime.
Corner three of Quiambao began a series of six consecutive points. He also unloaded a second triple which made 90-81 for Gilas with two minutes in the extension.
