Manila, Philippines – Fresh from another podium finish, alas pilipinas wraps his 5th V -League campaign in the first leg in Vietnam from Friday to Sunday.
After capturing its fifth bronze medal during the regional competition, the Philippines aim to exceed its best finish by beating the last two finalists in the last six tournaments – Thailand and Vietnam.
The Philippins won a set each during their previous meetings against the powerful teams of Southeast Asia before capturing their third consecutive bronze in the tournament by beating Indonesia, 25-20, 25-20, 16-25, 25-13, behind the stellar demonstration of the 1st legs 1st Angel of Spiker Angel Canino.
Alas opens his campaign against the host and the second Vietnam finalist on Friday at 8 p.m.
The nationals, managed by Brazilian coach Jorge Souza de Brito, then fought eight times Thailand champion, who has not yet abandoned a match since the League training in 2019.
Alas led by Jia de Guzman, who hopes to put an end to a drought of the 20 -year -old Sea Games medal this year, closes his campaign against Indonesia.
