President Donald Trump threatened on Monday to go hiking “significantly” to the American prices on Indian goods about his Russian oil purchases – a key source of income for the Moscow War against Ukraine.
Trump’s increased pressure on India occurs after reporting new sanctions against Moscow if it has not progressed on Friday to a peace agreement with kyiv, more than three years since the invasion of Russia.

Moscow provides talks with the special envoy of the US leader Steve Witkoff, who is expected to meet President Vladimir Putin this week.
Trump said in an article on his Truth social platform on Monday that India “bought massive quantities of Russian oil” and sold it for “big profits”.
“They don’t care about the number of people in Ukraine killed by the Russian war machine,” added Trump.

“For this reason, I will considerably increase the price paid by India in the United States.”
But he did not provide details on the rate level he had in mind.
For the moment, an American price of 10% on existing Indian products is expected to reach 25% on Thursday.
