Fort Lauderdale, Florida – Inter Miami star, Lionel Messi, is dealing with a minor muscle injury to his right leg after being injured in the first minutes of the Saturday League match against Necaxa, the club announced on Sunday.
Messi suffered tests on his right leg after having experienced discomfort after a game in which he fell while being challenged by a pair of defenders from Necaxa, in a game that Miami won on penalty kicks.

Its calendar for the return is not yet known, but it seems unlikely that it is available for the next Miami League match against Unam Pumas on Wednesday.
Inter Miami said in a statement that Messi’s medical authorization will depend on how it reacts to treatment.
Messi slapped his hand against the frustration ground after the fall, which occurred in the first 10 minutes of the match on Saturday.

He slowly headed for the bench of Inter Miami before sitting on the ground. The coaches went out and worked on his top of the right thigh for a few minutes before settling for Federico Redondo in the 11th. He then immediately worked to the locker room.
Miami coach Javier Mascherano said after the match that Messi was not suffering.
