Manila, Philippines – Bang Pineda barely missed a beat three years after playing for the last time for the Petro Gazz Angels in the PVL.
Pineda, who recently returned after the departure of coach Koji Tsuzurabara, shone in his first match with 13 excavations and 12 excellent receptions to help the angels put their two-game slippage against the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, 20-25, 25-19, 26-24, 25-17, in the PVL on tour Tuesday evening in Candon City Arena on.

Brian Eskibel, who was promoted to call the gunshots for Petro Gazz on an temporary basis, switched his hat to Pineda after helping them finish fourth in the A swimming pool A with a 2-3 file.
“Bang really helped us a lot in defense. She always has this strong connection and this chemistry with her former teammates here, so when her place has opened, we did not even think twice before having brought it,” said Eskibel in Philippin.
Pineda was signed because Blove Barbon underwent an LCA injury after going down during the Batangas of the tour.

Eskibel thinks that the team needed the Pineda service, which has spent the last three years with Akari and Nxled after helping Petro Gazz won the reinforced conference in 2022.
“We really focused on our defense on the ground. This was what was missing during our sequence of three consecutive defeats. We had the offensive, but our defense really missed. We therefore focused on improving our blockage, our ground defense, even our service,” he said.
