Manila, Philippines-Nxled reserved its very first appearance in the quarter-final after dominating Farm Fresh in their crucial final preliminary match, 25-13, 25-16, 25-14, in PVL on tour Sunday at USJ-R Coliseum in Cebu City.
In the battle of two Italian coaches, Ettore Guidetti of Nxled took over his friend and comrade Alessandro Lodi, taking a sequence of three consecutive victories of the latter for his first appearance in PVL in PVL since he joined the League in 2023.

The franchise held by the best place by Akari Lighting and Technology Corp was eighth in 2024 All-Filinoo, and he had a dweller cellar at the last PVL conference.
“I am really happy. I am really proud and the emotions, we are grateful for the great opportunity that Sir Chris (Tiu) gave me to drive this team, “said Guidetti.
“We are developing. This is the very good thing about my team. It is important. We fill the gap. And at the moment, we can say that it is officially true that we are not the oppressed of this conference. ”
The chameleons had a short time to regroup their first difficult defeat in the hands of high-speed strikers of the PLDT, 11-25, 17-25, 21-25, but they showed a feeling of urgency to become one of the four-quarter and simple finalist this pre-season.
EJ Cariño led the NXLED assault with 19 points built on 16 striking attacks, two AS and a block, being the team that begins outside Spiker after being out of the bench during their first defeat against Pldt.
The captain of the Chiara Permentilla team, who was aimed against PLDT, bounced with 10 points and seven excavations. Jov Fernandez collected eight points and six excavations. Jaycel Delos Reyes had three blocks to finish with five points, while Jaja Maraguinot launched 11 excellent sets and pulled three aces for four points.

NXLED, which finished the preliminaries with a 4-1 file, joined Pool A Sweeper Pldt (5-0) and the chief of the Cigal B swimming pool (4-1) in the quarterfinals from August 7. The last instant quarter-final ticket will be determined to Candon, Ilocos sur, when Chery Tiggo (3-1) beats Zus Coffee (2-2).
Guidetti enjoyed his first duel against his colleague Italian coach Lodi, expressing his respect for his friend.
“To be honest, it’s the only thing that didn’t make me happy today because I prefer to win against anyone, but not against Alessandro,” said coach Nxled. “We have a lot, several times the opportunity to contact us, to share exercises, to share knowledge. And Alessandro has very important experience in the United States. So, basically, I asked him for a lot of comments. I had a different experience in Europe, so we shared a lot.:
“It is really important that we export a little Italian volleyball in Asia. And obviously, that is part of a hard work that we are really, really happy to do here in the Philippines,” he added.
Farm Fresh ended up with a 3-2 sheet, not having taken its momentum from a victory of 27-25, 25-17, 25-18 against Galeries on Sunday evening.
Foxies must play a direct elimination match on August 2 or 5 for a place in the quarter -final.
