Tokyo:

The coalition of Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba lost its majority of the higher room in the elections on Sunday, projected the local media, in a debacle that could end its short minister.

The Ishiba’s power coalition has already been humiliating with humiliation in a minority government after the elections of the Basses Chamber in October, shortly after its Prime Minister and called the Snap vote.

The Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) of Ishiba and its partner Komeito won around 41 of the 125 seats in the upper chamber disputed on Sunday, unless the 50 necessary to keep a majority, Japanese TV and projected TBS, on the basis of outing surveys.

The NHK national broadcaster planned that the LDP could win anything between 27 and 41 seats and Komeito between five and 12 years old, which makes the retention of a “difficult” majority.

The right -wing populist party Sanseito was while waiting for having made solid gains, winning between 10 and 22 seats, adding to the two that he already has in the 248 -seat room.

Ishiba, 68, a “geek” of self-economic policy considered to be a safe pair of hands when he won the management of the LDP in September, was tight late Sunday about his future.

“This is a difficult situation, and we have to take it very humbly and seriously,” Ishiba told NHK diffuser. Asked about his future, he only said that he “couldn’t talk about it slightly”.

“We can do nothing before seeing the final results, but we want to be very aware of our responsibility,” added Ishiba.

“Ishiba can be replaced by someone else, but it is not clear who will be the successor,” Hidehiro Yamamoto, professor of politics and sociology at AFP at AFP at the University of Tsukuba.

The Ishiba center-right LDP has ruled Japan almost permanently since 1955, but with frequent leader changes.

Ishiba took over in September during her fifth attempt and immediately called the elections.
