Barstow, California – Manny Pacquiao, has near the story after its fight against the return against WBC Welter weight champion, Mario Barrios, ended with a majority draw on Saturday evening.
The result was largely deemed doubtful because many thought that Pacquiao should have won, including Pacquiao himself.

“I thought I had won the fight. It was a narrow fight,” said Pacquiao. “I had the impression that we won eight laps at four.”
The official Punch Compubox statistics offer a different perspective.
The much higher and more varied barrios have judiciously used its jab to its advantage. In fact, most of Barrios’ strokes were blows, and he won 45 against the 20 of Pacquiao.
Barrios launched 423 shots throughout the fight, and while only 10.6% of them landed, his constant blow from the start prevented Pacquiao from guessing and disturbed the pace of the eight division champion.
In total, the 30 -year -old American Mexican won 120 punch out of 658 against 101 out of 577 from Pacquiao.

Pacquiao, however, has always found ways to punch and even connect to combinations against a guarded barrios.

Regarding the dashboards, Pacquiao was ahead through nine rounds, but the three judges had barrios winning the championship towers (10 to 12) which led to the majority draw.
“I had the impression of having won the fight and the last three laps really solidified this. We are very proud of what I have shown and grateful that I still hold my title,” said Barrios.
