Manila, Philippines – Justin Brownle looked at the face with an imminent pain, but put it aside to push Ginebra one more step towards the victory of the cup of Commissioner PBA.
Behind another gargantusen effort of Brownlee imports despite an injured boost, the Gin Kings beat Tropang Giga, 73-66, in match 5 to move at the dawn of the crown.
At one point in the case at the elbow, Brownlee fell to the ground, first in hand, after a collision with Roger Pogoy.

The Gin Kings bench and Ginebra fans present held their collective breaths until Brownlee simply shaken the pain nonchalantly and continued to go to an offensive dam in the second period to supply the team to a 3-2 advance.
“I just got a fall and when you fall, you tend to prepare yourself with your hands. I hit it a little but it is not too bad,” a brownlee radiating at Araneta Coliseum said on Sunday.
“In my mind, I’m just trying to face pain and continue to win.”
Brownlee, however, continued to play as if he did not face an injury and finished with 18 points – 16 in the second period – 14 rebounds, five assists and a flight in 45 minutes of action.
Since he injured his thumb in match 3, the great naturalized man Gilas seemed to have a new rooted mentality for the best seven series – that Ginebra has a chance to conclude on Wednesday.

“I have become a little worried but not too much because I understand where it is (the thumb) and at the moment, there is no way that it can improve or worse. As long as it remains in place, I am well,” he said.
Brownlee seeks to feed the Gin Kings to another franchise championship in match 6, at the same place.
