Manila, Philippines – Jericho Cruz and Guam have made the story by obtaining a place in the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 for the first time.
Guam officially hit his ticket for the continental competition on Friday when the Chinese taipei beat Thailand.
Guam, however, took care of business on Thursday after cutting the Thai people, 89-81, behind Cruz’s efforts.

The Philippine-Guumanian guard accumulated 21 points, eight assists, three rebounds and a flight in 37 minutes.
The duo of Guam from Earnest Ross Jr. and Ben Borja II also provided important contributions with 19 and 15 points, respectively.
Guam finished the final phase of qualifications at 1-1 after absorbing an 113-73 Dubbing in the hands of Taipei on Thursday.
Cruz, 34, who plays for the San Miguel Beermen in the PBA, has established himself as a reliable cog for Guam. He collected an average of 10.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists in eight qualification games.
